Dog & puppy swim lessons
Dog swim lessons & puppy swims
Patient, positive swim lessons for puppies, nervous dogs and total beginners in a clean, private pool in Bolivar, Missouri. If they don’t like the water yet, we’ll teach them.

The short version
Every legend starts with a paddle
Not every dog is a natural swimmer, and that’s okay. Our swim lessons give dogs a calm, controlled place to learn — no currents, no boat traffic and no murky lake water. Just a clear pool, a patient trainer and as many breaks as your dog needs.
Puppy swim lessons make that first experience a happy one, so your dog grows up loving the water. Floaties and life vests are welcome for anyone who prefers a leisurely swim.
What to expect
How it goes
- 01
Meet the water
A slow, positive introduction at your dog’s pace. Nervous dogs can start with a floatie and lots of encouragement.
- 02
Learn to swim
Audra helps your dog use all four legs, stay level and find the exit, so swimming becomes safe and easy.
- 03
Build confidence
Once they’re comfortable, we add toys and retrieves. Some dogs graduate straight to their first dock jump.
Great for
Is this right for my dog?
- Puppies getting their first taste of the water
- Dogs who have never been in a pool
- Nervous or hesitant swimmers
- Senior and active dogs who need low-impact, full-body exercise
- Families planning lake or river trips who want a safer swimmer

Why swimming is so good for dogs
Swimming is low-impact, full-body exercise. It burns energy, builds muscle and is easy on joints — perfect for dogs who overheat on summer walks or need a better outlet than the backyard.
A tired dog is a happy dog, and a swim session tires out even the most energetic pups.
