Dock diving & dog swim questions

Nope! Your dog doesn’t have to know what dock diving is to come swim. If they like the water, that’s good enough for us — and if they don’t, we’ll teach them. Nervous swimmers and puppies start with a swim lesson; confident swimmers can move on to coached dock diving.

We’re at 907 E 477th Road in Bolivar, Missouri 65613 — just north of Springfield, about 39 minutes up MO-13. Dogs and their people visit from all over Missouri, including Kansas City, Joplin, Branson, the Lake of the Ozarks, Columbia and St. Louis.

We’re open by appointment only. During swim season we’re typically open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. — you can watch the sunset while your dog swims — and on the hottest weekends we start as early as 7 a.m. Available times are always shown on the booking calendar.

Our pool is outdoors, so swimming and dock diving are seasonal and weather-dependent. Audra closes the pool for the colder months and reopens when it warms up. Dog training is available year-round.

Dock diving is a high-energy dog sport where a dog sprints down a dock and launches into a pool after a toy. Jumps are measured by distance — our pool even has foot markers along the side so you can see how far your dog flies.

Any dog who enjoys (or wants to learn to enjoy) the water. We see everything from Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds to Labs and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. The only requirement to rent the pool: not be a cat.

Swimming is low-impact, full-body exercise. It burns energy, builds muscle and is easy on joints — perfect for active dogs, seniors and dogs who overheat during Missouri summers.

Yes. Private pool rentals give you the dock and pool to yourself so your dogs can swim, retrieve and jump at their own pace. Some days are reserved for open rentals only, so check the calendar or text Audra.

Bring your dog’s favorite floating toy, a leash and a towel (or two — you will get splashed). Audra will let you know anything else when she confirms your appointment.
